The Southside Elementary houses kindergarten thru the 3rd grade, including a pre-1st classroom. There is one principal, 24 teachers, and 17 classified staff. There is a total of 279 students, with a student/teacher ratio of 11.6:1

This school shares with the Northside elementary and/or the JR/SR high school: a librarian, a grant writer, music teacher, school psychologist, speech pathologist, 21st Century grant coordinator and the school nurse.

Our teachers have a lot of fun with the hands-on activities they do with the children. They do their best to make learning fun. The children "wanting" to go to school is as important as them being there.

The Southside school always has plenty of fun academic activities for the students, like Dr. Suess week, their reading travels and the milk jug igloo built in the lobby.

Fun being an important part of a child's day, the playground has also had a facelift, with plenty of equipment for everyone to have a good time at recess.

The Southside has recently updated their technology center for the K thru 3.
